GRACIAS A TODOS CHICOS.
INMERSIÓN LINGÜÍSTICA EN CAMPAMENTO BILINGÜE
Soy Chloé Rosa y voy a hablar

LINGUISTIC IMMERSION IN A BILINGUAL CAMP
I am Chloé Rosa and I´m going to talk about my
experience in Farm Camp.
Farm Camp is a camp located in Mohernando,
Guadalajara, where we were the students of 1st and 2nd ESO of Miguel Hernández
along with other schools from different centers, we went from February 26 to
March 2.
In this camp, we did many collective activities such
as horseback riding, night games, short films ... and many more things. The
first day, when we arrived, the first thing we did was introduce ourselves with
the monitors that later took us to the rooms , where we were making the beds,
organizing the suitcases….
After settling in, they gave us free time where many,
we went with Terry, a monitor, to play baseball. In free time, people usually
play table football, soccer, cards or talk to the monitors. After free time, we
left each group with our monitor, which in my case, was Terry. At this time we
are dedicated to speaking in English and talking about farm animals. It is a
very fun way to learn animal species. After class, We went to the farm where
there were many animals, such as goats, ostriches and many small birds. In the
afternoon, we did aerobics with the monitors, it was very fun and the dances
were very cool. At night we did an activity near the small forest that had with
lanterns, we liked everyone very much.
On Tuesday, we did archery and then went horseback
riding, we had a great time. Later, we had a class where we started shooting
short films, my class and I made a short film from the movie''it'`, but others
classes did it from the movie '' insides out '', which in my opinion was a
super funny short film, I had a great time watching it, and others did it from
'' Rey León '' who was also very cool. night, as always, we were doing other
types of activities before going to sleep.
On Wednesday, in a free time, some of us went with
Óscar, a monitor, to a cave where there were a series of obstacles and objects
that we had to pass. We also continued shooting the short films and saw a movie
in another free time called "Now You see me? In the afternoon we did
activities and went to the showers and at night we did an activity that was
based on the monitors, who were dressed as movie characters, gave us a series
of letters and the first group that had All the cards of all the monitors, I
won.
On Thursday, we had a great time because it was the
penultimate day and we enjoyed it to the fullest. We did a lot of things, we
were making bread, we made some news, we recorded a mini radio program and we
invented a dance with our monitors. At night we were in the theater dancing on
stage the dances
that we had been practicing in the afternoon and we
were moving and giving everything until very late, it was very fun.
Friday was the farewell and we did not want to go away
from how well we were having it. We were ordering the rooms and putting the
things in the suitcase and after lunch we left. We had a hard time saying
goodbye to the monitors because we had taken a lot of affection at that time.
In my opinion it has been a fantastic experience, all
the monitors are super friendly and we have taken a lot of care, the space is
very nice and the food is very good, they are very careful with allergies and
intolerances and I say it because I am celiac and they had very much care with the
food they gave me and that there was no contact with any food containing
gluten. They are also very careful with other types of allergies that have
nothing to do with food, they are very serious with that and it is appreciated.
We have enjoyed Much everyone this week and we would love to return, I highly
recommend this place, thanks for the experience.

LINGUISTIC IMMERSION IN IRELAND
In this trip we have done several new things:
We have gone to places we had never been before, we met new people, we learnt things about a new culture ... But the most important thing was that we improved our English.
We visited places like Glendalough (valley between two lakes), we went twice to a trip to Dublin, we also visited Malahide Castle and we played a game to know that town better.
Throughout this trip, we met people of different nationalities, as well as Irish, of course; from Argentina, Italy, Korea, Japan,Spain and Brazil. Because Ireland is a country visited by many tourists.
In our stay there, we have been able to see the timetable's differences, for example, the dinner was the main important meal in the day, meanwhile the luch was very light compared it with the breakfast. In their normal schedule, they have breakfast at 7 A.M., they have lunch at 12 A.M., and they have dinner at 6 P.M; this timetable was a big change for us.
The official language in Ireland is English, so we have had many opportunities to practice and to improve our speaking fluency. Although in Ireland, they speak Irish language too, of which we learnt some words.
It has been an amazing experience that we wouldn't change in our whole life; an experience that has changed our way of thinking.
